The RSPCA are hosting a day of doggy antics in Manor Park, Halifax on Sunday 3rd June with their K9 Party in the Park.
A range of classes, talent shows, agility course, for you & your dog, have been scheduled for a day of guaranteed fun including:
- Dogs with Talent, performing a trick, dance or even speaking
- Best Six Legs, the best looking dog and owner
- Dogs with stars in their paws, the Celebrity Dog Look-a-like, think Toto from the Wizard of Oz, Lassie, Lady and the Tramp or even a human celebrity!
- Have-a-go at Agility
- Hot Dog Sausage run, a mouth-watering competition for the dogs to retrieve a sausage and return without eating it.
Other classes include Glossy and Glowing, Puppy Love and My Fabulous Family, which is a class to showcase the love between dogs and their families.
The competition will be hot with dogs of all shapes and sizes competing for the winner’s rosette and all first prize winners will be eligible to compete in the BEST IN SHOW at the end of the day.
Two special handling classes for children and their dogs are available including:
- Childs Best Friend, for children 8 years and under
- Best Junior Handler, for children aged 9 years to 16 years
Don’t panic - if you don’t have a K9 of your own, there’s even a Best Cuddly Toy Dog - a special competition for children 12 years and under who don’t have a real dog but would like to take part, just bring along your cuddly toy dog and join in the fun!
If you’re looking for a new pal, there will also be a parade of the dogs in need of a new home of dogs alongside a parade of dogs their new owners who have been rehomed on the RSPCA Elderly Animal Rehoming Scheme (EARS).
