40 teachers attacked every day by primary school children
Violence in schools is a very serious problem.
Every day about 40 teachers - and possibly more - are attacked by PRIMARY school children!
Recently available figures compiled by the Department for Education reveal that in 2010/11, for the first time, the number of exclusions for children aged from 5 to 11, attending state-funded primary schools, overtook the number for secondary schools (catering for ages 11 to 18).
Official statistics show that in 2010/11 8,030 pupils aged 5 to 11 were excluded from their primary school, 200 on a permanent basis. The exclusions are up 15% on 4 years ago.
