Whizz-kidz

Whizz-Kidz is focused on bringing awareness of the importance of mobility for disabled children by raising money and fundraising.  Their campaign highlights the importance of the right wheelchair and its impact on children and their families.

Whizz-Kids is here to meet the individual needs of young disabled people by providing the appropriate mobility equipment, wheelchair skills training; a range of fun activities such as drama, sport and music clubs, work placements and opportunities to meet and have fun.

The organisation has developed an effective strategy by working along with Tesco and Accenture on a pro bono basis to ameliorate their supply chain to provide delivery of equipment at the time of assessment.

Whizz-Kidz works closely with wheelchair manufacturers in order to find value for money where the NHS framework agreements sometimes cannot.  This method allows their NHS partners to lower the cost of standard wheelchair or helps them to obtain better equipment at a similar budget.

They support disabled children and young people to live active and fun childhoods and help them to become confident and independent young adults.
