As the only organisation in our area caring for multi-variety pets, our services are under constant pressure. Other than space and funding, there are no barriers to entry at our countryside sanctuary, where we care for the newborn, sick, vulnerable and very elderly, as well as the young and fit. Alongside providing refuge for unwanted animals, we are totally committed to our ground-breaking spay and neuter scheme. Only by reducing the frightful numbers of surplus pets available, can we hope to make a difference. It is simply not enough to just re-cycle - no matter how much satisfaction each carefully arranged new adoption brings us. Our field of work is broad. From mice to mastiffs, via ferrets, ducks and pot-bellies, we replace unhappy lives with assured new beginnings. Over many years our experienced welfare officers have become accepted in deprived areas, improving the lives of countless pets, and often their human's too. Educating tomorrow's owners is also a priority. After years of living from week to week, our reputation-enhanced donations increased enough for us to begin replacing our shanty town. A purpose designed new sanctuary is now rising in its place - while we keep our pledge to continue working with animals. Much remains to be done - please help us.
