Remember CCLG in your will
The legacies we receive, whether large or small, are extremely important to us.
By leaving a legacy to CCLG you can help to ensure that future generations of children will benefit through advances in treatments, and standards of care. However much you decide to give, it can make an enduring difference into the future.
Making a will is important; it is the only way to be certain that your family and loved ones are taken care of as you would wish. It also enables you to ensure that friends, and the charities that are important to you, receive what you wish them to receive from your estate. It will ensure that your final wishes are carried out and puts your affairs in order.
It need not be expensive to make a will as many solicitors now have flat fees for straightforward wills.
Gifts to charities in your will are usually exempt from inheritance tax. Charitable gifts are deducted from the value of your estate before inheritance tax liability is calculated.
Details of current inheritance tax rules can be found on the HMRC website.
When a solicitor is drawing up your will, all they need to know is our name, address, and registered charity number, as shown below.
Children’s Cancer and Leukaemia Group
Century House
24 De Montfort Street
LEICESTER
LE1 7GB
Registered charity no: 1182637
If you do decide to remember us in your will, please let us know as this will enable us to thank you properly and enable us to keep you updated with the work of CCLG. It also helps us to plan ahead.
Even if your circumstances are simple and straightforward, as everyone’s tax position is different we always recommend consulting a solicitor when drawing up or making any changes to your will.
