Somos Vagabondis

Somos Vagabondis journey began out of pure love for dogs and an urgent desire to help those most vulnerable, those that have been left to their own devices, that society has forgotten due to the lack of real and concrete animal welfare plans and outdated cultural behaviors towards animal care.

Our mission is to improve even as little the life of street dogs in Peru. We do this by working with local charities and volunteers in identifying solutions aimed to manage the high population of animals living in the street of Peru, in particular Lima, its capital.

We understand how important neutering is in a country like Peru and this is where our charity efforts focus. We contribute to the running of neutering events in poor and overpopulated areas of Lima.

And, because we don’t want to see animals dying in the streets from hunger, we support feeding activities of strays organized by local volunteers.

We focus our main efforts to help strays in Peru, but as single individuals, part of the Scottish community, we also embrace the amazing dog welfare programs in place in Scotland, by taking onboard the best practices (e.g fostering) and applying them to our daily lives.

We love dogs from everywhere, and if we can help them as a charity, or as single individuals, in different ways here or there, we are happy!
