Somos Vagabondis was born out of a love for dogs and a deep desire to help the ones that society has forgotten.

We are a registered charity based in Scotland whose mission is to give a better life to those "vagabondis" in Peru that most need it.

We estimate that there are up to 6 million stray dogs on the streets of Lima. Despite informal efforts by local communities to care for individual dogs, there are many that fall through the gaps. At present, the government has yet to implement programmes to address this problem and small charities are leading the way in animal welfare.

Through private donations, we support local organisations in Lima-Peru that share our values and whose mission is to help and rescue animals in need by taking ownership of their health and living costs, and promoting education, sterilisation, and adoption campaigns.
